What would be consider safe for the EGT reading on a MIKV with a T72 turbo on stock fuel system? i usually see 1200 @16-17 on regular driving.

Umm...

EGT probe located after 1sr o2 sensor. Yeah i see 1200 at normal driving... What would be considered dangerous? I know it's 1600F for hondas.

We shouldn't compare numbers, as my sensor is in the #6 runner. Hopefully someone else will be able to help you.

I've practically made a career out of the EGT thing. ;) Trust me. You can not compare EGTs from car to car and automatically assume that they mean anything whatsoever.

Steve -- GReddy EGT gauge and Heraeus 6-probe EGT monitoring system with peak hold, data-logging, solution trigger, etc.

I understand temp. differences... but what temp. should i be concerned not seeing... 1400F ok??? @ WOT?

I wouldn't run more than 1325F with the probe at the top of the down pipe. This would be with a run to the top of 4th gear. It will be lower with a run to the top of 3rd.
