My friend is trying to dril the hole for his APex'i EGT guage. He drilled one with the "recommended" 1/8th size tap and it was too large. Anyone have any ideas on this one?

the only thing I could think of to do would be to weld on the threaded tap that the probe slides into....

I let him know that...he has already plugged the hole from the first tap...I told him to try and go with a smaller tap, duh. I also told him to take the instructions to the hardware store when asking for the new tap and bit....oh yeah, I sent him MVP's phone # as well.

actually I dont think the two are the same metals..so yeah..filling it in and then trying a smaller tap would be the next wisest decision
