How can i control the electric cooling fan through aem? i noticed the switched outputs say 3.5 amps max and a regular relay takes more than that.

Any ideas?

i have a mkIII with a 2jz swap. using mkIII fuse box.

What relay are you using that takes more than 3.5 amps to turn on? AEM outputs sink 1.5 amps BTW, more than ample to turn on garden variety 30 amp relays.

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. Used the switched ground out of the AEM to trigger the relay and set up the conditions under options>configure outputs>match to what pin you used>select active in all boxes>set up the parameters. If you want you can use the switched 12 HS1/2 to be the trigger for the relay also. Ground in my opinion is safer but choice is yours.
