I have an electrical short and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to begin checking...there are two symptoms...
1.When headlights are off and I hit the brakes the lights on my heater controls turn off...if I hit the brakes while headlights are on the lights on the heater controls stay on.
2.When headlights are off I can use the cruise control just fine but the cruise will not work when the headlights are on...if I have the cruise set and turn the headlights on my cruise gets disengaged, but the cruise indicator light stays on.
I'm wondering if maybe I have a bad relay or maybe somebody did a good 'ol redeck wire job AGAIN! Last one I found somebody had hard wired the contact points on the relay box under the hood for the ignition, so I don't even know where to start looking on this.
