My cars stalls when i push the clutch in. In order to try to find out whats wrong with it i tried to put it in diagnosis mode useing the instructions here http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/techtips.html
However when i put the paper clip into the ports nothing happened. i tried serveral times with a few differnt metal objects. Im sure that i had a good connection with my paperclip. The check engine light does nothing when i start the car.

You shouldn't be starting the car. When you want to do the diagnosis, just use the paper clip and turn the key to the "ON" position. Do not start it.

**EDIT** Here is the link I found and it says to start the car. For diagnostics though, I have never started my car. Nor have I ever seen anyone start theirs to do this either. Hmmm..

tried again

I tried agian doing what u said (trent) and this time the check engine light stays on. also the battery light stays on as well as the light that is diagonal to the check engine light. I took the paper clip out an tried putting it in the on postion and the same thing happened. Did I not get it into diagnostic mode?

Nope you didn't. If and when you get it into the diagnostic mode, the check engine light will immediately begin flashing the codes to you or will start flashing really fast to indicate that there are no codes. Keep trying with that paper clip. You sure you are hittin the right terminals?
