Generaly aftermarket wheels come with a standard oversized Hub( vary by manufacturer), but thats why they have rings you can buy to fit the specific wheel to the car.

18x7 will look funny on the mk3, sunken in, skinny, with a thin tire, what can be more disguisting, NO OFFENSE.

18x7 +40 = Sunken in. Forget about tire size for now. Think about it this way, instead of upgrading width wise your upgrading height wise even though you are going to maintain your stock wheel aspect ratio( at least i hope so) the wheel will not look right. now add the tires, they are going to be lower pros so they will enhance the skinny look.

why not go with a nice light weight 16x7 since your NA. you ca put some nice tires too. i know those perticular enkies are light but why add the additional rotating mass, especially if your not adding any more power.
