Do you guys think the 28x11.5x16 will fit in the wheel wells with minimal mods? These would be going on RX7 wheels.

I was going to use the rx7 rims with my 26x11.5x16, but I couldn’t find any at the time so I went with some cobra R Replicas (16x8). I had to roll the fender just a tad with the cobra R rims due to the offset, I don’t think you should have to with the rx7 rims

28x11.5x16 ET streets should tuck fine.

Ktrends posted in another thread he was running the 28x12.5x16 ET streets with minimal fender mods.

Width wise they should be fine.

Height wise, I'll be mounting 28x10x16 Hoosiers on 16x8 RX-7 wheels in the next week or two.

If you haven't tried the 28s by then, I'll let you know how they fit.

Thanks Demon....keep me posted. Gonna try and pick up another set of RX7 wheels.

I want to have the 26x11.5x16 for me and a friend with an RX7 and then put the 28x11.5x16 on the other ones for me and him to try also.

Can you also tell me where you got the tires you will be using too?

I've been running the Hoosiers on 16x10s for a few months now on my Lightning.

I picked them up from a local Lightning owner earlier this year but www.jegs.com carries the 28x10x16 Hoosiers for $181.99 a piece.
