Has anyone wired the factory Supra head unit into an aftermarket amp with speaker-level inputs? Is there a field type harness available, or will I have to cut the wires from the factory harness? I also found an additional harness near the amp that connects to the amp, but seems to supply power to the head unit. I will have to investigate further.

You will also probably need a ground loop isolator or you will end up with a nice 60 cycle hum in your tunes.

It is a cheap part, but not the best for sound quality...

The Supra (Toyota Metra harness) is accessible by hoking into the harness UNDER the passenger seat (I think)?) I used Alpine 5 ch. with line-level inputs and it worked great!! Installed under passenger seat in place of factory amp and hooked into wiring harness there.

The Alpine 5 ch. (MRP-F356??) sounded great just on factory speakers and was very easy to hook up and tune... Served it's purpose well until I decided to upgrade to larger amp later!!!
