In a previous thread someone mentioned these. Where can you get them? Who has used them? I still have my stock wheels and am curious. I dont even know what they look like.

I belive you are talking about Falken Azenis

Falken Azenis RS specs/size

I think the Pirelli P-zero Corsas are a much better tires for track event and better traction!

P Zeros are what $300 something a tire. Nice tires though. Azenis with almost R compound stiffness, 140 wear rating are about $110. The only problem is tire size in Azenis. They don't have a 275 yet for the rear to fit stock rims. Tire rack sells them. Azenis are selling like hotcakes to the Street Tire classes in Solo 2.

I looked on tire rack and could not find them? Are you sure thats where you saw these tires?

Jeff
www.falkentire.com is the company site. Actually Discount Tire Direct sells the Azenis. www.tires.com

Go to the Falken site. They have it set up kind of trippy. Anyway anyone interested go to the Falken site and contact them asking for them to make a 275/40/17. That would make a nice set up on the Supra for a lot less than some other tires for the same performance. www.falkentire.com

Thanks, I think I have seen them a bunch in car mags.

I wonder how they would be in the rear with my Toyo T1S in front? My fronts are still in great shape. I think I have 245-45 17 up front. and use the 255-40-17 in rear?
That combo could be spooky. I would imagine you might end up with bad understeer.

are the azenis that sticky?
I have no personal experience with the Azenis. I am also on the Atlanta Solo 2 email list and the comments on the Azenis have been very positive for those running the Street Tire class. They are reported as being very sticky. They are even advertised on Direct Tire web site as being SCCA Street Tire class legal. While treadwear rating is no absolute on traction it is an indicator. The Azenis are a 200 treadwear with an AA traction while the Toyos are a 280 treadwear with AA traction.I not one for mixing tire brands on a car.

This kinda sucks. I dont have 2 sets of wheels (some day) I go through 3 sets of rears for every one set of fronts. These I got all 4 in Nov and my left rear is about bald already. this is partly because of the one time I took it to the drag strip and I boxxed it up 3-4 times really good. I knew I had done something bad to them when I washed my car the next day and saw the AMOUNT of rubber on my tailpipe and in my wheelwells. I still have crap on my tailpipe. I rarely ever turn my tires at least in first gear. I would have liked to try these tires, and still may, in the next few weeks when I have to get new ones. I wonder if it would work to contact them and see about them making 275-40-17's?
