I'm going to be installing a "BCC" clone on my car and I don't want to make any mistakes with my ECU.

1. How many of you are using the Fields harness as opposed to splicing directly into the ECU wires? Pros and cons

2. I will eventually go to a VPC. How will splicing a BCC into the ECU affect this, if at all? No need for a BCC with a VPC, right? Do you take out the BCC later?

3. I've seen the instruction from about "splicing" into the ECU wires and "cutting" into the wires. What is the best way to go? My BCC clone has no connectors, just bare wires. Should I cut the ECU wires and use butt connectors? I want to do this right!

Thanks in advance.
