lets hear them :)

What were your first impressions driving one?

I have never DRIVEN one! In my young life I've had the chance to drive a 800rwhp C6 Vette, R35 GTR, stock 469hp E55 AMG which we own, and some other cars... also gotten rides in many exotics yet have never gotten behind the wheel of a boosted Supra. I owned a n/a before and it was pretty damn slow. I'm really anxious to see how its gonna be when my TT is ready for pickup in June.

Well I've had quite a few cars. Driven an NA and a TT Supra.. have never driven a singled one but I imagine it can't be too much different than most singled cars until you get into the 800-1000whp ranges. Out of everything I've driven sports car wise, I liked my C6 the most as it was just an all around great car. Very comfortable seats, lots of cool features like heated seats, HUD, NAV, voice recognition, an up to date look, super clean, amazing sounding with the mods that it had, and very cheap/reliable when it comes to parts. But like someone said above.. a stock TT car kinda pales in comparison to new stuff. If you are lucky enough to afford/find a clean 6spd car then I'm sure it'll be nice regardless but you'll probably hate it until you start modding it compared to an R35, 800hp C6, and the E55 as those are all newer and more advanced performance cars in stock form.

If I ever buy another Supra and/or performance car, it most definitely will not be a DD. I don't like the thought of racing my only car and risking it breaking.. nothing worse than having to bum rides off friends/family while your piece of shit car sits in a garage because you decided to have a little too much fun with it. Just from my experience.. it's worth it to just save and have a reliable daily and a car like a supra on the side to toy with.

EDIT: Take that back, I have a driven a single'd supra but have never floored it. lol! Basically same just not as torquey on the down low.

You know that warm floaty excited feeling somewhere under your sternum that happens when the hottest girl you've ever gotten alone gives you the come-hither look and starts taking off her shirt?

That fleeting moment of lag right before an 800+whp single turbo setup hits like a sledgehammer feels almost exactly the same way.
While you get more practiced with it, it somehow never gets old, or feels 100% predictable.
The only problem is that it's like a drug. To keep it exciting you keep wanting more and more power, just like you end up wanting more & hotter girls.

Personally, I think aiming for ~600whp is about perfect for the street. Any higher than that and you're just destroying tires. There's always someone faster, better to learn that earlier on while the car is still reliable enough to drive and enjoy worry-free.

currently own a 6 speed conversion car with a s372r big cams... I just picked up another TT auto supra. the auto car had some issues with the twins coming online so i changed it to the TTC mod, went out for a ride, and the thing hauls ass for an auto car. i forgot how much fun they are.

i had never driven a tt supra before i bought mine. bought it from a friend, knew i wanted it, and paid him in full before ever sitting in the car for that matter, and i had seen the car tons.

first thing we did was hop in, and go to a little spot to do a couple test runs. just some quick pulls out of the way, it felt real good. but it wasn't super surprising. my cressida technically made just as much hp, just felt different because it was an auto car, and single, as opposed to the sequential twins and manual.

definately an awesome feeling driving it, in fact i had a bunch of fun tonight driving around, and laying the smackdown on a cam'd 5.0 that wanted to play.... you'll never loose the feeling, and if you do, its time to drop 3k and upgrade

i bought mine too without even driving it.for the price i said everything that breaks gets upgrated.first time i drove it i loved the powerband and traction.it was a bone stock TT and fast considering its age.i didnt care about the power but it was pretty good for a supra begginner.i loved the way it felt on the road and its response.after i have gone bpu my jaw dropped.i beat claimed 500-550hp awd cars and i felt that it was insane for the road...until i went single turbo;p

Anyone remembered when you first looked through the side view mirrors and saw the curves, especially the rear wheel arches ? I had to reverse mine before I drove it ! Felt great on superb road ! (bone stock TT)

Mine was overwhelming. The first time I drove my car (about 800 whp) was the day I bought it. I let the owner really drive it for me out on the roads and even made him drive it back to my house because I wasn't sure I could handle it. This was mainly because it had a brand new triple disk clutch which to this day is still very difficult to handle.
