i need a little help. i just finshed rebuilding my motor for my 88 supra. I had 8 months of rod knock and was a little SLOW to get around to it. anyway, i had a cresida motor in my garage and when mine let go i just tore it apart and started to put together the cresida motor. so its got new bearing, rings, gaskets, and the block was deck, as well as the head. total of 15 thou was removed (head+block) so i need to know what should i do before i start her up. is there any little tricks so i run less of a chance of hurting the new rings and bearings. I also have ARP head bolts now as well. how long should i go before i retorque them. And how long will i have to drive it before it will be brokin in, the rings are crome, they said it takes longer to break them in but they were stronger. I build the motor myself and am a little worried, iam in motor vehical repair, but still a little nervous. its just a motor to get me to next year, when the big gear is coming. lol.
