Well i finally got around to it..
Took my 88 targa to the track..
I did better than the previous owner could do..
running 10psi, stock weight, otherwise stock motor with an upgraded clutch an balding tires,

my first run was against an evo8 ..
60' - 2.573
1/8 - 9.847
mph - 75.89
1/4 - 14.923 @ 96.89 mph

he ran a 13.59 @ 99.15 mph, he pulled a 1.8 60' tho..

My best run of the night was..
60' - 2.322
1/8 - 9.512
mph - 76.21
1/4 - 14.591 @ 96.87 mph

I think with some better tires or even drag radials i could be in the 13's no prob..
but i just couldnt get it, my 60' times were in the 2.3-2.6 area all night..

I gues thats okay tho, tires are the next thing on my list

you need to get a better 60ft.
do that and your 1/4 mile times will definitely drop.
My brother was running intake exhaust 10psi on an automatic
running constant 14.0's at 101
would have cracked 13's easily with some better 60ft's

good #"s though bud

Drag racing with an auto makes it easier to get better times. Drag racing with a stick requires more skill.

i was so suprised
it was our first time out at the track
we though we were gonna be in the 15's at least.

But 14.0 was a damn good time.
Just downpipe, catback and intake.
10psi

Autos give a more consistant time and easier for the launch, but a stick shift can fair up with a automatic easily ;) aight peace :chicken:
