Hello all!

New owner here. My Supra has a bad bypass valve. I think this because I get turbo flutter when the throttle closes under boost, and I took the bypass valve completely out (nothing connected to it) and could blow through both ends. So in my mind I need a new BPV. I ordered Kayser 06A145710N thinking it's basically the same, but I was wondering if anyone has rebuilt the stock BPV. I would think it's probably gunked up after 30 years and might need a new spring, neither of which would be difficult I don't think. Before attempting it, I was curious if any of y'all had tried yet.

Any thoughts on the matter?

The stock one is not rebuildable. Its all crimped and welded shut. The standard go to valve for replacment used to be the bosch 110 which the Kayser is a knock off of.

These days there are tons of aftermarket choices like the Polaris RZR. Depends what you are looking for. If you go to other than stock you will need to source new hoses.
