How do i get the stock speakers out of the dash the easiest? I have 2 4" kenwoods i wish to install.
4" won't fit. I'd say clip the wires and do a custom job in the door with a sawzall. Them shitty factory speakers are 2" if I remember correctly.
Oh, and an interesting factoid, some of the MK2's had built in sub woofers in the dash. Under the drive column I think....My 82 didn't have one, but an 84 I ransacked had one. 15 watts! WOO!

The 'sub' was under the passenger dash. It sucked. :)

IIRC I put 3" speakers in the stock locations. ...and that was the same size as OE.

HTH.

My car had that "sub" as well. I replaced the "sub" with a 12" Fosgate when I redid the system in 95'.

The dash speakers are 3.5" as I recall. I replaced them with either Sony or JBL, I don't really remember.
