Okay guys... I pulled my oil cap tonight and smelt it... it seemed to have a "fuel" smell to it...

Could this be "blow by" and a sign of the rings going bad... or should I not worry...

Is there anything I should check to find out more information about this??/

Also, I have a warranty on the car.. is there anyway.. that if they do need to swap the rings.. taht I can have them do high performance mods at the same time??

I'm no expert on this but it could be caused by blow-by. If you are worried about it, you could have a compression test done to see if your numbers are in spec.

Did you *just* notice it? It might smell like that all the time, if you have smelled it before and it didn't, I would probably have it checked out. You will have some blow-by b/c the rings arent going to seal 100%, especially as the miles climb.

I have never smelled mine before:( so i can't tell you how mine smells. Hope that helps some.
