I just picked up a set of Denso IK27 plugs because I am getting misfire above 20psi right now. I am currently running some type of NGK (couldn't tell you what), but it's not cutting it.
I figured I would start with a good set of plugs and if that doesn't help me out, treat myself to some new coil packs.

I'm running a single Precision SC6262s with HKS 272s @ 26psi on 93 & meth, and running a Haltech PS2000 ECU. These Denso IK27s come pregapped at .032 but I see a lot of guys run .026-.028 for higher boost setups so I considered gapping these down a bit. Every thread I have read on here about Iridium plugs says DO NOT GAP iridium plugs, but the simple fact is that Denso says it is safe to do if it is done properly (avoid touching center electrode and use needle nose pliers instead of a gapping tool).
So....gap it down to .028 or leave it at .032?

If your ignition system isn't up to par (weak coil packs, leaking insulators) gapping down can help. I've gapped Iridiums and as long as you are aware that the electrode is more brittle and do it carefully, I've never broken one, and that applies to either Denso or NGK.
