Well, with only 5400 miles on it, my GT4088 is cooked. I noticed that I would get smoke on a decel and on idle at a stop light following a consistant speed or decel. There is zero smoke on a cold start, and really, it is very minimal under acceleration, if any. So, I took the intake off and realized there was a very small amount of side to side shaft play, however, there is literally about a 1/4" of in and out shaft play! :doh:
The compressor wheel hasn't touched any part of the compressor housing, and in fact, the car boosts quite strong. So, should I:
a. just get a new turbo :rockon:
b. rebuild this one myself :run:
3. send it out and have it rebuilt
