After I drove my car today ('98 TT, 61,500 miles), I went back into the garage and it smelled horrible with gas fumes. I opened up the hood and there were some gurgling sounds coming from the "A" port of the charcoal canister (the one closest to the cabin). The line itself wasn't loose though. The weird thing is that the canister itself doesn't smell that bad, but I can't really pinpoint the source. There are no leaks. Any ideas? Should I blow out the canister with compressed air? Do I have to drain the fuel lines to take the canister out? Thanks for the help.
