There are so many. Just too damn many. Which ones are the best bang for the buck? I am looking at swapping all the gauges. Tach, speed. etc. with same sized gauges. I also need oil temp, trans temp etc..

Opinions needed!!

The most important thing about a gauge is how accurate it is.

My friend on his RX7 is using Spec-D tuning gauges... not a big company or anything but apparantley they are good for the money.
They are electrical also but not mechanical, I think most people like the mechanical ones.

I always liked the RHD TRD cluster. I have seen people manage to fit the speedo and tacho into a LHD unit. Obviously you'd need to mirror and Photoshop the fuel and temp gauge if you liked that enough to want to convert it to LHD, and make a face plate for it.

I am keeping the OEM cluster but will be testing out the PLX DM200 in my clock spot, the cool thing about that gauge is it can read 4 sensors on one screen. I will post pics as soon as the parts come in.

They aren't just face plates, they are complete units, and are accurate. The tacho is the turbo version, and isn't 100% on an NA but does work. The speedo is in KMs, so you'll have to do the mental calculations yourself. 60MPH is around 100KM/H. 100MPH is around 160KM/H etc. etc.

STRI makes some diecent gauges for the money, also Pro-Sport, both make electical gauges. If you want exceptional quality and performance and you like paying more for the name brand then, DEFI, BLITZ,

Thats your opinion. If people were thinking like you, many things wouldnt even exist. I want nicer gauges.. I am Canadian contributing to your countrys economy, which does seem broken.

Which ones did you go with? I ordered apexi boost and egt el2 gauges today along with the control unit. I spoke with the sales person and asked him if there were any gauges that match the mkiv interior. He said the ones that did were discontinued and no other gauges on the market match our interiors at the moment. I looked on several websites and decided to go with the el2 gauges since they have got some good reviews from some veteran members on here, and they look the best in their price range. I would have gone with defis but decided not to due to the price. I should be getting them in 2 weeks, so i will keep you guys updated on how they work.
