As the title states, I am wondering how many of you would be interested in a Lexus only track day.

This would be good for some of you that are somewhat nervous about taking your car out on the race track against other cars. Being that it will be an all Lexus / Toyota event, this should make you feel more at ease taking you car out and just having fun.!

I am working with speedventures to setup an all day Lexus / Toyota :supra1000: Track event, but we would need at least 20+ people to sign up for the event.

The cost would be about 130-150 dollars for the day.
We can choose from three tracks, buttowillow, (baskersField), BigWillow (RosaMond), or AutoCLub speedway, in fontana.

If you can get this event registered under Speed Ventures and our times logged in their website (I’m a member and like to keep my track times recorded there), I’ll be there. Make sure it’s on a Saturday or Sunday (I hate Fridays).

I would also recommend Streets of Willow (Rosamond) as it is a run-off friendly track that is technical in nature for both beginners and advance track runners.

Yes, yes. This track event will require registration through their website, and all your times will be recorded, if you have a responder.

A few people have suggested Streets of willow, I will take that into consideration.

The problem with Auto Club Speedway is a few things:

1. Price (normally x2) to run.
2. Limited run-offs.
3. A bit too much for stock brake pads and fluids. High oil temps.
4. Walls and tires.
5. I know I mentioned price, but appears to be a big deal issue to most people.


The pros of Auto Club:

1. Sofa King fast straight aways.
2. A nice garaged pitting area.
3. Not too technical of a track.
4. The feeling of being on a NASCAR track.
5. Relatively a closer track than others.

Streets is a fun track. No willow springs for me. Button willow would be cool too.
