Getting an alignment

691 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  1/4mile in style
Hello,
I am putting new tires on my car and want to get an alignment. Should I just take to Toyota and have them one do one or should I get like the lance spec alignment? Where is the best place to do? How much does it generally cost for a place to swap out a set of tires on a set of rims?

Thanks a bunch
Dave

You should definitly get an alignment after installing new tires. I am guessing it would run you around 70.00 to get the tires mounted and balenced. A toyota alignment should run you about 50.00. If you bring the specs with you, toyota or anyone should be able to align it to those specs. Almost more important than who does you alignment is what type of equipment they use. I would reccomend toyota, the bigger/newer dealerships most likely have the better machines.
Which alignment should I get? SHould i bring the lance spec alignment or let them use there own?

Thanks a bunch
Dave
Try Lance's

It exists for a reason - longer tire life being one of the reported benefits. I'm going to be going for an alignment myself here pretty soon and his specs are what I will be going with. If you do a search you'll find some feedback from those who have done it - I believe someone posted about it not long ago....
I have Lance's alignment and love it !! Get it done. Use a shop that has uses laser for aligning. The car does not understeer as much and steering response increases. So go for it :)
