Well I was really hoping to get my car back from the tuner today with my PT6265/39mm precision wastegate/ log cast manifold. I had the wastegate hole port matched for the 39mm wastegate.

Went to make a pull with the 1 BAR spring in it, and it instantly shot to 20 PSI. Took the wastegate off, inspected it AND the springs. Everything is just FINE. Even by-passed the boost controller and ran just off wastegate. Put a 10 PSI spring in the wastegate. Result?

With everyone running an identical set up to mine with a treadstone manifold, I think its obvious this is the weak link. Maybe if I ported the hell out of it may work, but after seeing flawless results with the treadstone, i'll go that route.

So if anyone wants to buy it and ported it them selves, it'll be for sale shortly!!

Does the WG hole stay 39-40 mm all the way into the collector?? It looks like it funnels down but it may be an optical illusion.


Just an FYI, you have to do a ton of porting on the treadstone also!!

Yea he ported out 39mm all the way. I think its just the angle of the picture.

Got the treadstone manifold in yesterday. From memory this does look better than the godspeed manifold. Here are some pics from taking it out of the box:

Here is after my machine shop porting it to a 39mm and cleaning it up for me.

That looks pretty nice Pat, I wouldn't be too worried. There were no signs of boost creep on the car we did. I think you'll be very pleased.

SP tuned my car on a treadstone log mani and I have zero boost creep. You should be good.

SP tuned my car on a treadstone log mani and I have zero boost creep. You should be good.

It's turbo diesel flex piping. You can get it at any semi truck parts or repair shop. They sell it by the foot
