i know of a good source in the FAQ for turbo/ fuel install..... was wondering if anyone has any other useful links i can use/ print out for the project.... figure what better way to learn about ur own car, then to do it yourself....

i will have help from a few friends, and also 2 mechanic friends that will help every now and then, in case we get stuck along the way....

also any links on putting in cam shafts? ti. springs, retainers? thanks

any other tips greatly appreciated

I concur.

two hours to drop the engine and tranny. two hours to pull the twins as a hole. Just make sure you have PB Blaster for all the rusted exhaust bolts.

Screw pulling them with the engine in the car.

It is a true PITA, but once you've dove into the project, it goes fairly quickly. Since there are extra hands available for you're undertaking, I would certainly agree with pulling the motor/tranny.
However, if that's not the case, I it's as broad as it is long.

Average time for pulling twins- 6hrs. If you've seen it done or participated in a pull previously, you should be able to cutt that time nearly in half. It usually takes me 3 1/2 - 4hrs with the motor in the car.

Good luck and purchase some bandaids!

i can't speak to installing the fuel system.

i'm far from a professional mechanic, but i was able to remove the twins on a Sat and the better part of Sunday afternoon. it's pretty easy - just start taking stuff off, it's fairly intuitive w/ just 3-4 bolts that make you go hmmm....

that said, there's no way i'd want to *install* them.
