what wires did you tap for the ignition, and for the parking light?

If you are putting it in the clock location, follow the directions to the link. If you are putting it in a pod, do steps 1, 2, and 8 for the backlighting and 10 for the vacuum connection. I'm not underminding you saying that you might do all the steps and take apart the dash to put it in a pod, but I've seen highly intelligent people make more work for themselves by following all the steps when they just had to do a few.:)

If you are hooking up an electrical guage and need a 12v ignition, use an empty fuse like the seat heater inside the car, or the telephone fuse under the hood(actually, I'm not sure if the telephone fuse is constant, test it).

Someone posted this a while back to tap into the clock wires.
red --> blue
orange --> red
white --> green
black --> white
left is the gauge wire colors. right is the clock wire colors.
