i have a greddy fpr gauge and the needle somehow went to 40psi and kept on going when i shut off the car.

now, when the car is shut off the fuel guage needle points to the end of the reading. when i start the car the needle tries to go to 40psi but it is stuck b/c of the stopper (i don't know what it's call but its the little needle that sticks out so the reading won't go pass it)

anyone know how to fix this? i've called greddy and they said to returned it to the place i brought it and they will send it back to greddy... too much hassle and work?

any ideas?

thanks

this gauge is a water gauge right ?
meaning there is fluid on the guage itself
check to make sure that the gauge lens is not cracked

and also check all of you wiring to make sure there is no short on any hot wire leaving it on , although you should hear it if it is

it is a fuel pressure regulator. it was brand new when i installed it. when i hooked everything up the gauge reads 40psi and when i shut the engine off the needle didn't reset. it kept going clockwise.
