Guys, i have a 97 6-sp TT with 18" Blitz 03s. When i make a U turn, or when the steering wheel is completely turned in any direction and i go forward a bit, there is a grinding sound from the wheels (i'm assuming)...When i ease the steering off a bit, the sound goes away. This happens at low speed only (Although i havent tested making a full U turn at 100mph haha). Does this sound familiar at all ??? What could the reason be ? Anything serious ? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thanks,
V

Gosh, I'm gonna go out on a limb here.......

but I think its safe to say:

YOUR BLITZ WHEELS ARE RUBBING ON THE INNER PLASTIC LINING IN YOUR FENDER.

common problem with aftermarket wheels.

Is that it ? Phew...Thats a relief.. Thanks a lot !!
Turn your wheels completely to one side, jackup the car, and look under and see if your tires are rubbing the sides.

My friends car did that ... his lugs were looks so the wheel was wobbling a little check that too... better hope its not the wheel bearing

The lugs aren't loose in my car, but the wheels were definitely out of balance.. So, i got the front wheels balanced...I'll have to see if the wheels are touching the inside..I'll try it out tonight. Thanks guys !!
