I thought you might be interested but the GT42 does come with the T4 flange now... Im considering that turbo or the GT42/40 hybrid.

It would be interesting...
here is how it would compare to the T78 ( specs curtecy of MooreBoost.org )
Turbo-----Compressor-------------------Turbine------------------
GT4240 -- 56 trim in-70.3 -- out-94.0 --- 84 trim in-64.7 -- out-77.0
T78 ----- 33D --- in-66.0 -- out-90.0 --- T78 -- in-65.0 -- out-74.0



Can the GT flow more thtough the turbine and can it support the bigger wheel.
It is interesting....

Anyone that knows the stuff more in depth care to coment????

BTW... the GT40 has 77mm exhaust whell and the GT42 has 82 mm wheel

The GT40 84-trim and 1.35 A/R seems to have the same flow as the GT42 84-trim and 1.01 A/R... They bough max out at ~37 lb/min. Its just that the GT40 maxes out much earlyer...


I dont know if it would work since Im steping down 5mm in the turbine and 6mm in the compressor.... That is 11 mm diference....

The overal ratio would be .81 ( 77/94mm )where withe the GT42 102mm compressor 53 trim is .80 ( 82/102 )
( turbine / compressor )

Its just toughts... I dont even know if you can get GT42/40 hybrid....
