Well this has been a very long time coming with more funds involved then i would like to talk about...but all I have to say is that it was well worth the wait.

As of right now with about 3-4 psi less then last year the car is making approx. 100 rwhp more. I think the dyno was starting to not like what was going on with the almost 900hp... It started to hold the car back on the last few pulls so the tuner called it a day. If you want to attempt to compare dynos, these #s should be around 10% lower.

i was able to hold 17.6 psi with an old t78 manifold and went up to 33 psi before we stopped.

a little run down of the new upgrades.

1. GT 45-78 1.15 A/R (swantko)
2. Sound performance intake manifold with accufab 75mm throttle body
3. Sound performance 5inch thick IC
4. 1200 cc injectors
5. WOTM triple pump hanger w/3 walbro fuel pumps. (2 running at all time, 1 comes online @ 10psi)

6. Virtual Works stage 1 race head Complete ferrea valve train.
1mm oversized stainless steel valves, titanium retainers, locks, dual valve springs, with inner valve spring buckers, and ferrea valve seals.
7. HKS 280's
8. Synapse Motorsports IC piping (local shop)
9. Synapse Motorsports downpipe

Like i said the #'s do seem a little low but this dynapack tends to read low. low boost the car made 660 rwhp @ 17.6 psi and 896 rwhp @ 33 psi all on c16. with the big cams and IC I'm losing a little spool. seeing full boost around 5500rpm. redline was 7800 rpm, pulls were in 5th gear due to the dyno shutting off

896rwhp @ 33psi

883rwhp @31 psi

IC piping blowing off

most of the work was performed at a local shop synapse motorsports.
let me know what you think. thanks

The dyno was over so quick... was that 2nd gear? Im sure it wasnt but whatever dyno that is it certainly does not load up the motor very well. Put her on a dynojet and see what she does!!
Good ole' Time based dyno's and laggy Supras... Go together like Peanut Butter and Chicken Feet

Congrats on the numbers, but if you want it to load up a little better, have him extend the time it takes to make a pull. you will get more boost at the same settings and thereby make more power. He'll also get a little better load tuning done.

oh, and make sure your clutch does not slip... those dyno's REALLY hate that :)

haha...it was actually 5th gear. the car makes more power then this dynapack can hold so 5th gear wouldn't make the shit shut off.

thanks man

I thought the swantko was a 79mm??
this one is a 78mm.

I may be heading down to NJ for the NE2K9..maybe i'll get in on the dyno there to see whats up.

congrats on the #'s make sure it runs good on the street seems that dyno doesnt have too much load. but man sounds like a solid setup like you cant go wrong with the gt4578 along with the other parts you mentioned. im sure we will all see in your signature pretty soon that the 10.12 @144 will def. be beaten by a 9 sec. pass. anyway good luck man and kudos on a badass car.

thanks man...it needs a little fine tuning with the warm start up... but i took it for a quick ride right after the dyno and it seemed to be running good... the tuner always goes through everything again after the dyno...

^^ Good point kirk. But every car is different. They both wont perform exactly the same.

What i do find funny, is that isnt the swankto turbo bigger than the 78gts? And i remember seeing Sean, 2jzMK3 on his like dyno sheets, like 940rwhp @ like 33psi.

Good solid numbers though. Im assuming built block?

Is your car an auto? We made 871rwhp @ 31psi on a custom GT42 through an automagic.

You should be making a little more power than that on the 45 if you are on a 6sp
car is a 6spd. I do think the #'s are a liitle low for this setup. but so far my car has always had lower #'s on this dyno. I have to go to a different one to see the difference. But i've read the dynapacks are approx 10% lower then others.

Thats true, i do recall you always having lower dyno #'s. You were only making like 800whp on a 76mm a while back. At like 30 something psi. Thats odd then.

right!

I'm going to ne2k9 so i'm going to put it on the dyno there to see what happens.

FYI guys, my cammed 67mm @18psi made like 475whp on this same exact dyno. (Should be a 540whp car) on this dyno. (This was also with the hood down :tear: ). lconrad's car should be in the 950-970 range on a dyno jet.

Thats the way to cheat the dyno and inflate your numbers. Thats how its done on a dynapack. It seems really short for 5th gear pulls.
I also agree you should strap it down on a dynojet.

Good numbers on that turbo.
