what is the lag difference between the 47-80 and 47-88? i know the 88 is rated to 1500 crank hp, the 80?

full boost on a 3.0L? on a 3.4L? both turbos that is

47-80 on 3.0 about 5900rpms and about 1100-1150rwhp on boost
47-88 o 3.0 about 6,300rpms and about 1220-1270rwhp on boost

the 3.4's wll make 75-100hp different and add a shit ton of spool. I dont have enough experience with my 3.4 to tell you exact spool but i would say its about 600-800rpms better.

if not, maybe it's still better to go with a built 3.0 and spray with the 88? 8500-9000rpm redline. built head of course with dual springs8500-9000rpm redline

from what i've read here on the forums you can rev a 3.4 stroker to 8500-9k rpm. the gain that i like with the stroker is the amount of torque, which is why i've always wanted to do a 3.4 stroker whenever i get a chance to do a single turbo build on a supra/sc300.

with a 88 and spray... a 3.0 will not live long. it will live, but bearing wear will be greatly increased! With the crank flex with a stock crank it is worth the money to do the stroker if you are planning on 88 and spray. If you need a 88mm turbo let me know, i have mine for sale.

3.4L, 88, 30psi at 5800, rev to 10k, HUGE powerband, very drivable, and will make 1350rwhp+ with a good motor.

After a years use, and on 19in street tires my car still dynoed 1290rwhp on a Dyno in Vegas which is known to be low as well At a Supra meet infront of everyone and had I dynoed with slicks it would have made probably 1330-1350ish on the same pull. That was also with only 280 cams. No high lift cams which would add quite a bit MORE power.....

3.4L and 88 rocks I have more powerband than a 61-76mm car and it makes just a hair more power. I don't see a reason not to have a 170mph+ 1/4 mile car for the street. Just get MT ET Radials and hold on

76 + spray is the way to go My car has 30psi at 5000 rpm and makes power to 8400. 1050whp on boost and close to 1300 with all the nitrous. It's a lot more streetable than a gt47 setup and is much easier on engine parts since you don't have to rev the shit out of it to make it move!

From what i've seen, the 47-80R isn't any better than a regular 47-80. Spoolup and horsepower were both the same, we did a back to back test.

Darin is a 76S with a bunch of spray guy who has never had an 80 or 88mm turbo on the street or track. Darin needs to run a big turbo on his car before saying big turbos are junk. 76S and spray cars are fun. I've had one. But they blow compared to a 88mm and spray car. Anyone that likes to truely go fast knows that. If you're content going slow, stick with a T4 turbo

Most of you don't know but he is also saying that because of the reliability of PTE turbos. But that wasn't the topic at hand

I've ridden in your car and JPs with the 88...i've driven a few 47-80 cars and i've driven our race car with the 91...They all feel slow to me The only thing that felt somewhat quick lately was my car on full boost plus the 220 shot.

Oh please, try racing someone who can actually cut a light and whose car can consistently make solid passes down the track...you had it easy racing those two. Get your car ready and I will make the 48 hour drive to come give you some real competition!

I'm happy to do it...but I can't guarantee your turbo will make it all the way down the track without blowing up
