This is a guide (FAQ) for the Supraforums Car Audio and Alarms Forum.

Stock Speakers in a MKIV:

4" in the front, they are behind a 6.5" grille

6.5" in the rear

5x7 subwoofer located behind the rear seat (note: if you have am/fm tape headunit with NO cd player, you might not have a subwoofer).

The stock amplifier is located below the passanger seat.

It is rated at 30 watts into 4 channels + 50 watts x 1.

Note: these are max figures, most likely it is pusing 12-15 watts RMS x 4 + 20-25 watts RMS x 1.
