I hate my car I have had this annoying squeaking sound coming from the rear hatch. I ordered new bushings since I was told that was the easy fix. It took me 1 hour to remove the stripped bolts on the old bushings and I put it in the new ones. Guess what? The rear hatch is still squaking over bumps. What now?

Try putting washers behind the new bushings? Did you get the 97-98 bushings or the 93-96?

I have done the same fix with upgrading to the 97-98. If it still happens normally putting washers behind the bushings fixes the problem.

I had the same problem. Make sure you buy the bumpers for the top and bottom. I only bought the ones for the bottom but once i replaced the top everything was cured!:wavey:
