hey guys, my car just had the head machined for the first time and instead of going with the 1.2mm i went with the 2.mm.
i was thinking lower compression, so i could run higher boost.
was this a good idea?
Search before you post. This has been covered a million times.
Putting a different size HG on your car is not a matter of preference it is a matter of what is proper for your given application. I don't understand how hard it is to figure out the proper HG size.... Ask your engine builder how much he took of the block and head, and get a HG that compensates for this loss appropriately. Changing compression with a head gasket is not something you really want to do.
