1st(first.)
Remove both of the old hoses and the metal pipe

2nd (second)
Cut and use the existing hoses and male connector

3rd (third)
Use the existing hose and connector and rerun the hoses. see pictures. I also recommend that you wrap the long return hose with a thermal wrap protection material to prevent damage from the down pipe. (Make sure that you use hose clamps. They are missing from the pictures)
