Hey guys,

I had my 1991 Cressida in for paint. The car was working fine, but now it starts and a few seconds later starts to stall and dies. I disconnected the AFM and the same thing happens. I put one in from an N/A Supra, and the same thing happens. The only way the car will stay on is if you keep revving it, but it stalls here and there. Any Idea before I start messing with stuff????

Thanks for the help in advance,
Miguel.

So far I think the AFM is bad. I tried using a Supra AFM but the car shuts off if I plug it in, same if I use the current Cressida AFM. I took the intake piping off, cleaned it, started the car and it starts and runs, but not 100% normal. As soon as I plug in the AFM, either from the supra or cressida, the car shuts off within seconds. I'm trying to get another cressida AFM to try it out and make sure before I start testing for voltage and all that crap. One thing I found interesting is that if you plug the AFM but hold it open by hand, the car works fine. That further makes me think the AFM is the problem.
