I just got the 2jz running again after replacing the manifold gasket and having the exhaust manifold planed flat. I also had the down pipe off. We reassembled the gaskets for the spool valve, wastegate, v-bands carefully. When we start the car its obvious that there is a small leak. I have had several friends who are much more mechanically gifted than I look for the leak, but no go.

Isn't there a way to pressurize the system to look for the leak? I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. If you can provide a link, please do.

Thanks, seems simple enough. I am going to have to check on one of the smoke machines. As far as I know, none of my friends has one. We really gave her a damn good looking over. Seems like it is behind and below the turbo. I was thinking that pressurizing the exhaust, and them feel for the leak might work.
