My timing belt is wearing out early.
I have crower stage 2 (264 equivalent) cams with there springs and retainers. I have put 10,000 miles on the car and my teeth on the timing belt are falling off. I have checked my cams and they rotate freely. I have a new tenisoner and pulley on the car. The car runs great I just did a leak down on the car and all is well.Is it just that I need a stronger belt because of the cams?

I would throughly inspect your cam gears. How about the plate washer in front of your crank timing gear ? Is it facing the right way. Switch out your cam gears with stock ones and a new belt and inspect. The greddy or Power enterprise timing belt is also made of rubber. It does use a silicone outer lining to help reduce belt deflection but if you have something tearing up your belt you will need to resolve that problem before you installing new parts.

If you had the HKS Cam Gears for 30k+ miles, i'm sure they are warped by now. That's what caused my timing belt to die prematurely after a timing belt change. I also have the same upgrades to the valve train on my car, HKS 264s with crower springs and retainers.

i replaced the HKS cam gears with Stock ones. :)

I have 50k in the HKS cam gears... they WARP that a peace of CRAP... is this common???

They're aluminum, they wear. I have a set in excellent condition not installed but I'm not sure they will go on with my head\cams. <shrug>
