So I bought 97-98 headlights and I thought they just swapped out with easch other. But what I didnt notice before is that my 95 headlights have an extra daytime running light that my 97-98 headlights do not have.... so is there something I need to do to retrofit these to make them work.

Thanks,
Ryan

Your talking about the little hump at the bottom? If so no there's nothing really you can do except neatly tuck it. I just took my lights apart paired the inside and sealed them back up.
yes I am talking about the little hump so your saying you just cut the wiring off to the extra bulb and just tucked it away?

No I didn't tuck mine IUsed my original ones cause they are glass and baked them in the oven, pealed them apart and took the chrome part out and painted it gloss black then installed it back. My advice to you is DO NOT CUT IT OFF!!!! try to neatly tuck the wires and fixture away. But pull that little bulb out. That's my advice. Do u still have ur original lights?

If you want you can either find someone near you to take them apart and paint them. Or you can send them to me and I'll do it for $60. I do it alot for people in my area. But it's totally up to u. Also then you could sell the 97-98 and get ur money + the $60 back.

To explain further;

That little hump is your parking light on the 93-96 MKIVs. On 97-98 Supras they have incorporated that parking light into the signals. If you do the upgrade to the full 97/98 look (Headlights/Signals) with the MVP wiring kit its practically plug and play (minor splicing) and everything works 100%.

However if you're just doing the upgrade to the 97/98 headlights, what will happen is you're going to have an extra bulb/wire for the parking light that does not work with the 98 heads. So, just plug/wrap it (to keep from getting corroded or wrecked) and tuck away somewhere behind the headlights in case you wanted to go the 97/98 signal route in the future and then it will be available.

I would suggest getting the 97/98 signals as it is a much cleaner look, especially with the headlights.

^^ correct. that little "egg" shaped light in the 94 doesnt exist in the 98.

In the picture, in between the fog lights and the headlights the egg is gone in 97/98 and therefore you'll be left with an extra bulb/wire unless you also upgrade to the 97/98 signals.

Euro spec glass headlights have those lil 2 daytime lights but well, the 97-98 style are looking way better with the black housing. It is worth the extra wiring in my opinion -.- but you should also upgrade to 97/98 signals yeah.
