ok so i know running dr's at the track is asking for problems. however i drive my car on the streets on street tires a lot. i get a lot of wheel hop if i try launch the car or the 1-2nd shift. and after seeing how much hop i get at the track with the dr's i assume it will only be worse with my new street combo (m/t dr's on low profile dr's)

i have heard of people running the titan or mvp solid diff mounts please share your thoughts or results please.

Change all of your rear bushings. This has been known to fix it.

MVP sells the bushings kit that goes in the rear control arms and suspension parts. This isn't going to help him. He needs to address the differential bushings and the options are either solid Titan bushings or the Superpro urethane bushings. Either that or get some slicks/et streets for the track.

I highly doubt you'll get much wheel hop on the street since you probably won't hook up in lower gears unless you turn the power down and ramp it up by gear.

I drive a BPU supra and had TERRIBLE wheel hop. I have stock wheels with 275/45 nitto 555R's. I replaced the rear bushings with Titan solid ear mounts and Titan weld in diff mounts. this took care of MOST of my wheel hop, but not 100%. I still cant do say a burnout, because ill still wheel hop alot. Im still unsure as to why my specific car hops so much after my solid bushings.

I highly recommend the Titan billet ear mounts in conjunction with TRD engine and tranny mounts.

check to see if there is any play in the sub frame bushings. was clear to see on mine on the bottom of the body. rub marks showed it was the whole sub frame that was moving after the solid diff ear mounts were installed.

^ That too.

Recently installed a set of front solid ear mounts. Have to test a bit more but already see a noticeable difference just on the low end where prior, I had some hop. Haven't done full launching or from a dig yet but I'm sure there are a few here who can testify. I should mention that I run R888's and otherwise stock setup (TRD bars)

I just installed the Titan ear mounts, as my car suffered from terrible wheel hop, especially during my first visit to the track. My suspension is stock with 49k miles on CCW drag pack with 28" hoosier slicks. I have yet to take my car back to the track, but I did notice a big difference on the street with them. I still get wheelhop during the 1-2 shift and 2-3, but it's nothing close to what it was with the stock ear mounts.

So will doing these upgrades allow for a 6-speed car to run drag radials without breaking things or should slicks or ET streets only be used still?

^Assuming you have an aftermarket LSD, your next "weak link" would be the oem driveshaft
