Right between the 2nd and 3rd fuel injector near the side of the coil pack cover is this mysterious brown wire that is cut and not connected to anything. My car ran fine with it like this and I bought the car this way.

Does anyone know where or how it should be connected?

Also, farther up the harness is another section of the brown wire (not pictured) protruding and cut and not connected. It seems too long to have been connected to the other portion that's pictured below...

HELP!

That could be. My knock sensors are wired separately and are not in the harness bunch, instead they go all they way back to the firewall by themselves.

Are your knock sensor wires brown like the one pictured?

Depending on what year your harness is - brown wires are usuallu grounds.. measure it to the body and you'll find out if it is.. - where it's supposed to go - I have no clue...

That's your old knock sensor wire for sure. It is shielded. Grounds are not shielded.

thanks a lot chriso! I kinda figured they were not a ground and old knock sensors since they had another set of shielding wire wrapped around the inner wire.

Just get my BHG job done and time to start it up!
