Need help with Sunpro boost gauge on my 1987 Turbo supra... i have a GReddy boost controller but i don't want to interfere with it, plus almost all my vacum lines are missing and the one on the intake manifold is looped back, i will have a pick soon... plus the line they give you in the package is Crap... i live in Tampa/Riverview so anyone who can come show me how to do this is much appreciated ...

Worst thread ever.

1) Throw the Sunpro gauge away in the trash. Stop shopping at Autozone and get a quality gauge.

2) A boost/vacuum gauge will not interfere with a boost controller.

3) Just attach a vacuum line from the intake manifold to the gauge.

4) If you can't figure out how to install a boost guage, then please proceed to kill yourself. Or at least take some grammar lessons.

You can also have your vac line run from your boost control solenoid straight into your turbo.

Again, sorry to revive such an old thread.. trying to figure out what the P/O did with this boost gauge.. I have a feeling its a cheap gauge from Autozone or something, but I don't know enough about gauges to know for sure.. But the problem is when I am at idle, it shows upwards of -20lbs and when I accelerate it will come up to about 5-8lbs.. Not sure why it shows negative 20 at idle, and then I am not sure if I am actually running 5-8lbs or more to get it to that point? Here is a quick vid showing the P/O plumbing under the hood..

At idle you're not actually showing negative lbs of boost, you're actually reading vacuum, which is in inches of mercury. so "-20" would be 20 in/HG. From what I've seen on my other turbo vehicles, >20 is perfectly normal.
