Yup, that too, and that FIRST. I was guessing from the way he asked the question, that he needed to know "HowStuffWorks", but I was tired and already had easy/quick links at the touch of a button. I figured it woud not hurt too much to direct him there because if he really didn't understand then he wouldn't do anything to his car yet anyway.
Definitely learn the basic functions of a motor and a motor with a turbocharger, before you do anything becasue this helps a lot in various ways.
