hey guys i'm about to buy a n/a 89 supra and want to retorque the head gasket to make sure that its at the correct spec, but i can not remember what the correct ft. lbs. it is. i want to say 76 ft. lbs. but i don't remember. thanks.

your right tho, and people have been known to go up to 90 ft/lbs... correct me if i'm wrong.

You are kinda wrong. Im sure 90 lb ft on a retorque would fuck up the gasket. IIRC stock is like 50-55. 75 sounds about right but remember that you are taking a chance in damaging the old hg though and I dont really think its necessary on an NA.
