I have a question for you pro's

I have a smash window on my 1988 supra. how do you tell the color of it. blue or bronze. very hard to tell.

I tried with white paper in the back but can't really tell.

Please help

If its bronze then it should melt at 1030 c. Try taking a flame to it and see if it melts. If it does then its bronze. If its blue it will melt much earlier....

Tint code is on the glass match the numbers no drama

how to tell
Usually the color at the top of the windshield will give it away.

If your interior is burgundy, you probably have bronze. If your interior is blue, you have blue. Not sure but i think gray has blue tint also. The tan interior has bronze.

Enough post whoring... the question has been answered.

Looking the parts catalogue:

Driver side blue part #: 68112-143340 - $139.64
Driver side bronze part #: 68112-14350 - $175.86
Pass side blue part #: 68111-14330 - $139.64
Pass side bronze part #: 68111-14340 - $175.86

Its nice that toyota has a 35 dollar difference on two parts nearly identical.

Welcome to the world of getting screwed by the dealer. You know why its probably more expensive? because it is the most popular used one. who knows im just talking out of my ass. eh i just worked a 10 hour day leave me alone...
