I just picked up a couple of HKS SS BOV's but their different. One has this extra purple thing in the opening while the other doesn't. Jus wondering what this extra piece is...? I'm thinking its for sound, but can someone fill me in?

The regular one has a gold "Mercedes Star" in it, then you can buy the purple insert along with I think one other type that will change the sound. They go for about $15-20.
