HKS Type 1 Turbo Timer

Has anyone ever had problems with this turbo timer? I just put one in my car and it will not keep the car running when the ignition is turned off. I have triple checked the wiring and it is all right. It counts down like it is supposed to. All of the other functions work as they are supposed to. Could it be a bad timer? Thanks

It's bad. Mine did that when my battery died and I tried jumpin it.
Everything else works. Just does not stay running. :(

Never jump start a car with an HKS TT. Unplug it first.

Thanks, guess i'll be getting another one then. Don't know how it went bad though.
Did you properly connect the single wire to the hand brake connector? The turbo timer will not engage unless it is pulled up... just a thought.

Yea, it is connected to the hand brake. The timer counts down and everything, but just does not keep the car running. I'm pretty sure its bad.
Do all turbo timers connect to the hand brake? I'm thinking of buying an Apex i auto tt and wonder if the Apex i has this feature.
Yeah, it's probably bad. I went through 2 HKS turbo timers before I realized that jump starting the car with it connected would destroy it.
I've jump started mine many times with no issues at all!?

Yup, this happened to me awhile back in my old dsm. It was weird though, I had jumped my car many times before, but for some reason this particular time fried it.
