I'm just curious here, but I've heard of the disadvantages of venting the BOV to the atmosphere and wondering how the HKS SSQV vents and still makes that whistle? I'm not as stupid as this sounds though so please have mercy on me :whip:
In a way yes that is correct. The AFM does not HAVE to be removed to vent a BOV to the atmosphere. I did it for 2.5 years with the AFM. It's just a matter of getting the adjustment screw just right. If you do it correctly, it won't run excessively rich. It will be rich for that temporary moment or two, but not as bad as if you backed out the screw.lanky189 said:so does that mean the AFM has to be removed to install the HKS SSQV in order to eliminate the rich spot that happens when shifting?
