anyone know if the vpc's map sensor can be swapped out with any 5v unit? i see that it has a denso part number, was it OEM on anything?

thanks,

I don't know if this helps any or not, however I'm using the VPC temp probe with my AEM EMS and I use the same sensor mapping that the other guys use with the GM temp sensor.

The GM temp sensor however is much larger than the VPC one. Also the temp sensor basically acts like a variable resistor, and I'd assume that many temp sensors would have similar characteristics.

I can't remember exactly but it max's out at a lower pressure. I think 27psi. The GM sensor goes to just over 30psi. Close but not close enough. Also the vacuum range starts at a different voltage.

is the vacuum range like a radically different voltage? otherwise i dont really see why the VPC wouldnt work too bad...
