Hoosier drag slick VS Hoosier QTP - who's used them both?

Looking for information from anyone who has experience in trying both of the following tires:
Hoosier 18153 (C07 compound) 28 x 10.0/16 Drag Slick
Hoosier 17603 28 x 11.50/16 Quick Time Pro

For context - I’m currently running the drag slick on a manual transmission full weight MKIV with bias ply skinny tires up front. On this tire, I’m able to get pretty good (repeatable) high 1.4 / low 1.5 60ft times. It’s been a great tire so I’m cautious of changing it.

I recently just looked at the QTP up close and compared the difference to the tires I have. It doesn't appear to be that much different on tread width but it looks like the QTP has a slight amount more of sidewall. Curious if that extra sidewall would help.
Also interested in any additional information regarding the compound difference between the two, the Hoosier drag tire spec sheet doesn't exactly give much info on that.

Wondering if QTP would net overall better runs on the 16inch rim setup (for manual trans) or is the drag slick the best option. And for anyone that's just run the QTP, what is the lowest 60ft you've seen on it?

Thanks.

Thanks - I shared some info there.

I spoke to Hoosier about this subject and they told me that the QTP has slightly better compound then the C07.

Dunno about fitment tho.. curious myself also cause I have the bias ply full slick
Thanks. I know it fits for sure, I've seen a couple folks run it on the RX7 rim. I sent Hoosier a similar question a while ago but hadn't heard anything, did you call them directly to ask that? Would definitely want to give the QTP a shot if they say the compound is better.

Thought I would update with what I found.

In discussing with Hoosier, they stated both tires are identical in construction, compound, and size. The QTP is 'measured' differently for DOT approval purposes, but in terms of physical profile they are technically the same. This makes sense as when I looked at the tires stacked next to each other they appeared to be identical.
They look to be about the same pricing wise as well.

I think you missed what I posted. They are exactly the same tire as quoted by Hoosier; it doesn't matter. The QTP is stamped differently for DOT purposes.

Ok. There is literally zero difference between the two tires bud, in this case it makes no difference.
