I had bought an '88 Turbo car, to use as a donor for upgrading the V6 in my 4Runner. I was aware that it would require a head gasket as it allegedly smoked, I was also informed that it had gotten hot!
Upon further inspection all the spark plug boots were melted, and I was wondering how much more damage could have been done.
It does turn over, but there was quite a bit of fluid in a couple of cylinders.
A compression check is next on my list.

The two low cylinders had small amounts of fluid..gas/water.
Should I just shelf my 4runner project and replace the crank and thrown rod in my 86NA???
